About

My exploration of and passion for decorative surfaces is informed by my extensive background and study of Art History (FU) and Restoration/Conservation (London) and work experience in London/UK and Toronto/Canada.

My clients include Stiftung Thüringer Schlösser und Gärten, Denkmalpflege Brandenburg, Grisebach Auction, galleries, interior designers and private clients.

I specialise in gilding, painting on wood (marbling, graining, decoupage), verre églomisé, cleaning of gilt bronze and restoration of antique chandeliers. For restoration and conservation projects I work according to established principles formulated in the Code of Ethics for Restorers and in the ICC Code of Ethics.

I utilise these same techniques in my other area of expertise; transforming pieces of furniture into unique items. I use my knowledge of historical designs, patterns and historical techniques to assist my clients in realising their projects, a particular consideration/care lies in creating a rich patina and sensual feel to surfaces.

The studio is located at Droysenstr. 16 in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
